1:43 Merry Christmas Na sa aking puso

Lookie at who we found at the last Kpop Convention. 1:43! The P-pop boy band. Haha. Ok, so Thysz and I are fans and we’re not ashamed to say it. Like I said in my previous post about them, they’re camp, cliched and rather annoying but omg sa sobrang campy nila we love them na. We love them so much na naloka kami sa pagtakbo sa loob ng PICC para lang magpa picture. Loren Haggarda! Pero pwede na. Kumpleto na Xmas ko. Kulang nalang sewing machine. Calling the powers of the universe!

Let us all be reminded by their genius shall we? Haha. Merry Christmas na!

Preview and the new media

Experience the magazine in an entirely new way as Preview magazine introduces the newest technical innovation in its December issue—Augmented Reality.Bloggers were invited for a special meeting with editors to introduce this new innovation. It was a pity that I wasn't able to go but my friends were there and I had a proxy. Haha.

“Augmented reality is the technology or process of combining a real-world scene with computer imagery. This often requires a camera, a screen, and a trigger that starts the AR experience,” says Edna Belleza, senior vice president and chief information officer of GMA New Media, Inc., the company that developed the Augmented Reality technology for Preview Magazine.

The print marker found on the lower left side of the front cover is your key to seeing Survivor Philippines castaway Solenn Heussaff, dressed in Tory Burch’s 2011 Resort Collection, as she talks and walks her way around a virtual computer-generated world.

To experience this Augmented Reality technology, log on to www.stylebible.ph/preview_augmented_reality, and select the link that turns on the webcam. Tilt the magazine in different directions and see Solenn jetset across four different and fabulous places.

Also starting this December, you can share your comments and reactions about the pages of this month’s Preview magazine through your mobile phone. Preview will also be available via Zinio starting January 2011. With this technology, you can have your copy of Preview in your desktops, laptops, phones or tablets, allowing you to read the magazine anytime and anywhere using your gadgets.

Went to the opening of the Ronac Art Center. Thysz was raving about this new building saying the facade was a morse code of a popular Daft Punk song. And there’s a huge white spiral stair case. Paul has been there countless times already and his favorite spot was the car park with walls painted in red. Too bad I wasn’t able to take pictures of the place. :( Anyway, it was a fun night.

Keme lang. HMG inspired. Chot.

Art of Scent

For centuries, people have been in a constant search to find their own suitable fragrance. It dates back to the Ancient World, where Egyptians incorporated fragrances into their religious ceremonials in belief that it could enable them to communicate with the gods through scented smoke; hence the word, Perfume –per fumum - Latin for “through smoke.” Through various invasions of land and territory by the Greeks and Romans, the heritage of perfumes were passed on to their cultures and eventually the Chinese, Islamic, and Indian cultures caught up with the trend and used perfumes as well for their religious customs. The succeeding centuries, from the Medieval Era to the Renaissance, up to the Modern era, the use of perfume went beyond its original purpose as it was eventually used for trade and luxury. Perfume had become a worldwide phenomenon throughout the centuries for cultural practices that people went out of their ways to discover new fragrances that defined them.

At present, perfume has been redefined once again, through Art of Scent. Art of Scent is the first luxury concept fragrance store in the Philippines. The store was created with the goal of uplifting the fragrance consumer’s overall shopping experience by having well-trained Fragrance Connoisseurs in-store instead of just sales agents.

The concept behind the store is to instill in the consumer a deeper appreciation of the nuances in choosing the right fragrance that suits them best.

Art of Scent takes its inspiration from the industry-standard fragrance wheel composed of 4 major sections: fresh, woody, floral, oriental. As such, the store itself has 4 sections displaying fragrance brands based on which fragrance family it belongs to. The brands and references in these 4 sections will be rotated on a monthly basis in order to refresh the fragrance consumer’s visual and olfactory palettes.

Along with this, the store also has a main section for the top 10 selling men’s and top 10 selling women’s fragrance references based on national sales. This section serves as the store’s anchor, so called because this section will be a permanent fixture of the store.

The Art of Scent flagship store is located in the ground floor of Resorts World in Newport City, Philippines. For more details, you may contact the store through phone number 8467447 or Email them at info@artofscent.com.

Korea's best couple

This news totally made my day. Actors Song Joong Ki and Yoo Ah In were nominated for "best couple" in a drama awards. Haha. Let the yaoi fanfics begin! LOL. I now regret not finishing Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Critics were raving about the drama and fans were spazzing over homoerotic tendencies that were aplenty.

Nakakaloka. If they win, this will be a big step towards tolerance in the Korean LGBT community.

Watch the video below to get a glimpse of just how sweet this odd couple is. Mamaya ka na Jang Geun Suk. Haha.

Allkpop reports:
Song Joong Ki and Yoo Ah In from KBS 2TV’s “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” have been nominated for the ‘Best Couple Award’ at the 2010 KBS Drama Awards.
The two played the roles of ‘Yeorim’ and ‘Geol Oh’, which received massive support from fans of the drama as the representative ‘male couple.’ One scene in particular even created a ‘gay scandal’ between the two. Yeorim, who observed Geol Oh putting his life on the line in order to find the person who wrote the fake handbill, tearfully made the following outburst:”What does that make me, the person by your side? Fine, live as you want and get out of my sight.”
Although both actors and producers clarified the scene to be an expression of their deep friendship, it seems as if viewers took it differently, landing the two a nomination for the awards show.
A representative of KBS’s variety team revealed, “Due to the aggressive recommendations and support the press corps have shown, we were able to confidently put the ‘Song Joong Ki and Yoo Ah In’ couple as nominations for the ‘Best Couple Award’. We predict that they will receive just as many user votes as the other hetero couples in the viewers votes.”

This my new hang out. They serve the best tea straight from Taiwan. If I have the chance to go there everyday I would. I’m so addicted to their honey black tea. I prefer tea now than coffee. I can get the same caffeine jolt but sans the jittery feeling. Also their oolong tea is amazing.

Visit Moonleaf Tea Shop at Maginhawa Street, Diliman, QC.

Am wearing the new line of Jaki Penalosa and Don Protasio called Edited. Their pieces are all very forward and very Asian which I love. When I saw this vest I knew I just had to have it. ^^ I like the asymmetry and the peculiar shape it makes.

Whenever you are in Iloilo make sure you check out Edited. Amazing stuff. They have a great collection of shorts and drop crotches too.

I love the print on this top. Kinda reminded me of these.
Nail polishes from Etude House. They have the best! Spreads evenly, dries fast, no bad smell and affordable. I’m wearing the black one with green glitters right now. Ang becky ko talaga! Haha.
My cheap ass but trusty Nokia phone. I actually bought it because it was pink and I kind of have this unhealthy fascination with the color and I’m just too embarassed to admit. Haha. I like my gadgets to be pink.
SakuraBella!!!  It’s the new line of body care from Watson’s.  It has a sweet soft Sakura fragrance that calm the mind and body all day long. Im using this right now and it is very addicting. I love the smell. Feeling ko lang geisha ako paglabas ng banyo. Chost. And the packaging is cute non?
I have really bad skin right now. I dunno why. From too much stress and alcohol maybe? Add to that the cigarettes. I do such horrible things to my body. I need to be healthy na talaga. So anyway, Pimple Clear is doing a good job of controlling my embarassing zits. It does sting but it works. You can buy them at Watson’s.

Make sure you all watch Gen M on ETC every Monday nights at 10. I missed this week’s episode argggghhh! My good friend Anton Belardo is one of the finalists. I wish you all the luck in the world my friend. The universe is on your side.

Gen M is a fashion reality show ala Project Runway. It’s a fun watch. Insiders told me the Mental episode next week will be crazy. I can’t wait!

Ganda! Anton is such a looker non?
His gown for the first challenge.
They did not get it pero gandara!!!

He was the one who made this dress. Haha. I just had to inject myself. ^^

Red spot

The year is about to end and I am thankful for everything. So many things happened and I’m just overwhelmed with it all. Haha. Make sure you get the January issue of Monday magazine next year! So happy.

Anyway, I finally got that Japanjapan shirt from Mental.

For some reason I’m enjoying Hey Say Jump! so much. I have this unhealthy obsession with Chinen. I’ll stop here nalang before I type something totally inappropriate.

Bye bye!

Forever 21 GC launch

Since I am a bad blogger... all photos in this post were stolen from the fabulous Paul Jatayna. Hahaha. So much fun. Congratulations to David Guison for being chosen as one of the brand’s ambasadors. The whole gang was there to support him.
